OPEN WATER FREEDIVER

This is the entry-level certification course for individuals wishing to learn the fundamentals of breath hold diving for the purpose of increasing underwater awareness. Teaches the basics of freediving techniques with mask, fins and snorkel for comfortable surface enjoyment of the aquatic world. Basic freediving fundamentals are taught to help the snorkeler experience the oceans inhabitants first hand below the surface.

You have conquered the mask, fins and snorkel but are really unsure about diving below. If so then this is the course for you to gain knowledge and experience to get an upclose look below the surface freediving!

Prerequisites
1. Minimum age of 12 for Junior Open Water Free Diver or 16 for Open Water Free Diver certification.
2. Competent swimming skills.
3. Snorkeler / Skin Diver Certification or equivalent experience.

A thorough understanding of the physics and physiology of freediving is instructed along with training programs to better further the freedivers physical and mental performance. A score of 85% on written exam and demonstrate understanding of the principles of freediving.

The depthe limits for this course are 7.5 msw (25fsw) and 10 msw (33fsw).
